What we do
At the heart of our work
Our desire is to see real improvement in the mental wellbeing of Black individuals, families, and communities. Everything we do is shaped by care, cultural understanding, and the belief that healing becomes possible when people are supported, seen, and empowered. Below are the ways we walk alongside our community on their journey to wellbeing:
Information and resources
We offer practical, evidence-based, and culturally informed materials to support better mental health. From self-help tools and videos to guidance on anxiety, depression, stress, and self-care, our goal is to make reliable information accessible to everyone, especially within the Black community, where stigma and barriers to care can make reaching out more difficult.
Support groups
Facilitated by experienced mental health professionals, our support groups provide a safe, nurturing space, online or in-person. Share your story, learn from others, and receive compassionate guidance. Our sessions include mindfulness exercises, journaling prompts, self-reflection, open discussion, and access to free educational resources, all in a judgment-free environment.
Telephone support service
Our telephone support service offers a confidential and accessible way to speak with trained mental health professionals. Available at scheduled times during the week, our team provides a compassionate listening ear, gentle guidance, and collaborative support to help you create a plan that aligns with your unique needs and goals.
One-on-one support
Our one-on-one support services comprise a range of interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based interventions, and motivational interviewing.
In these sessions, we create a safe, supportive space where individuals feel truly heard and understood. Our team listens with empathy, acknowledges each person’s experiences, and offers guidance with compassion and without judgment.
Community outreach
Our community outreach programmes bring mental health support closer to the Black community. Through workshops, screenings, school and church visits, and resource fairs, we raise awareness, build understanding, and provide practical tools for wellbeing.
We partner with schools, hospitals, faith groups, and local organisations to make mental health education more accessible, culturally informed, and community-led.
